La Boudeuse

La Boudeuse set sail from Nantes on a round-the-world voyage of discovery commissioned by the French government, in 1766. At the helm was Louis-Antoine de Bougainville (1729-1811), a mathematician and an admiral in the French navy. When La Boudeuse arrived in Rio de Janeiro to rendezvous with the supply ship, the occasion made horticultural history. Commerson's newly discovered plant received a name, bougainvillea, in honor of the admiral. The French admiral would go on to discover French Polynesia. Today, other places where he traveled are also named for him, including Bougainville Reef.

La Boudeuse is the final addition to our hamlet, which can sleep 5 people, very comfortably, in 2 separate bedrooms.

Downstairs, the large lounge area, has 2 large sofas, one of them convertible into a bed, and a plush armchair.

The kitchen is spacious comes fully equipped, with a dishwasher, a 4-ring hob, an oven, a large fridge/freezer, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker, crockery and pots & pans. The round table can also be enlarged.

There's also a shower room, with shower, hand basin, and toilet.

Making your way up stairs, straight in front of you, there is another shower room, again, with hand basin, toilet and shower. To your left, there's a double bedroom, and to your right there's the large bedroom with 3 single beds.

You also have access to your own private terrace, with table and chairs.

The BBQ area is on the other side of the property, which has table and chairs, and there is also the pool, as well as our lovely goats and chickens!
